Rodenbach Evolved St. Georges builds on the tradition of a legendary Rodenbach beer and impressively demonstrates how contemporary brewing techniques can further develop historical roots. Amber in color with a fine, white head, it presents an enticing bouquet: fresh apple and peach notes mingle with the characteristic Brettanomyces aromas and a delicate hint of leather, lending the beer a captivating depth. On the palate, the pale ale is pleasantly light and refreshing, supported by a gentle, well-integrated acidity. Two years of maturation in select Foeder "93" imparts an elegant maturity, while the special Rodenbach yeast culture adds subtle spicy notes. The finish is dry, fruit-forward, and remarkably harmonious. Rodenbach Evolved St. Georges is a successful revival – complex, full of character, and yet wonderfully drinkable.
