Schneider Weisse TAP 5 Hopfenweisse

Wheat Doppelbock by Schneider Weisse

Schneider TAP5 Meine Hopfenweisse is a strong hoppy beer born from a 2007 collaboration between brewmaster Hans-Peter Drexler and New York brewmaster Garrett Oliver of Brooklyn Brewery. Brewed in Kelheim, this beer features locally sourced Hallertau Tradition hops. It's worth noting that all beers in the TAP series are brewed using open fermentation followed by bottle conditioning.

In the glass, TAP5 presents a brilliant golden hue with a slight reddish tint. It gives off a wonderful aroma of tropical fruits and intense floral notes. The first sip reveals spicy tropical flavors of mango and pineapple. Despite its 8.2% ABV, TAP5 is highly drinkable. A sweet, aromatic malt character meets a bold bitterness.
