Liebesbier's selection of wheat beers ranges from light Weizens to intense Weizenbocks. Weizens, or very often refered to as Weissbier, are top-fermented beers brewed with a minimum content of 50% of wheat malt. Top-fermented yeasts produce predominantly fruity ester notes. Flavors of banana and clove are, for example, typical for classic Weizens. Hefeweizens (yeast wheat) are far older than bottom-fermented beers like Pilsner or Export.
